About this destination

"Beautiful location - you won’t be disappointed coming to Le Sereno!"

Often shortened to St Barts, St Barths or Saint Barth, Saint Barthelemy is the jewel of the north Caribbean. Although a relatively small island, it’s packed with white-sand beaches and beautifully imposing mountains. On average, St Barts gets over 300 sunny days a year so there’s never a bad time to visit – you can toss your towel on one of the 14 immaculate beaches with guaranteed good weather. Water sports are also a big draw to the island, with scuba diving, snorkelling and submarine trips to mysterious shipwrecks available. You can expect to eat the freshest of seafood at local restaurants, with a blend of cuisines including French, West Indian, Creole, Italian and Asian. Villas are popular choice of accommodation on the island as many offer hillside terraces and ocean views. A number of small-scale hotels can also be found, as well as larger and more luxurious options.

If you can tear yourself away from your luxury hotel, Flamands Beach on the northwest shore is the best on St Barts. Wide creamy sands merge with rolling surf and bright blue seas for fantastic swimming, tranquil sunbathing and oceanfront dining straight from the tank at La Langouste. Sugar white Gouverneur Beach is an idyllic cove that’s perfect for snorkelling and Saline Beach has calm waters and beautiful sands. Learn how to sail at St Barth Yacht Club, bodysurf at Anse des Cayes and windsurf at Lorient. For a slice of seclusion take a catamaran to Colombier Beach, or for a day with the locals follow the 'it' crowd to St Jean for stylish bars, beachfront hotels, crystal clear waters and iconic Nikki Beach. The airport runway ends here and it’s a great place to spot small planes jetting in for the spine-tingling St Barts landing.

The 5* Le Sereno Hotel takes Parisian style and sophistication and transports it to the sun-kissed tropical surroundings of a secluded Caribbean beach, with spectacular results. Offering all of the amenities, world class dining and faultless service that you would expect from a member of Leading Hotels of the World, this is an intimate and luxurious retreat in one of the best beachfront locations in St Barts.

The resort comprises of just 39 air-conditioned suites and villas, decorated in a chic, minimalist style. Most have ocean views and a four poster bed and all are equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, complimentary WiFi, personal iPod, mini bar and a private terrace and garden. A Nespresso machine and iPad with docking station are also available on request. The Plage Grand Suites look out over the bay whilst the Piscine Bungalows are individually designed and located near the pool. The one bedroom Vue Mer Villas have an indulgent redwood hot tub in the garden, and the Villas du Pêcheur are right on the beach, with a private pool. There are a number of interconnecting options which can create a larger two or three bedroom accommodation for families, or you can opt for the even more spacious Le Sereno Villa, with four bedrooms, private pool and exceptional ocean views.

The Restaurant Le Sereno enjoys a lovely beachfront setting, with some tables right on the sand; it is imbued with the feel of an elegant Mediterranean brasserie, with an Italian influence that pays tribute to the hotel’s sister property on Lake Como. Signature dishes include Executive Chef, Alex Simone’s, Gnocchi Le Sereno and the popular Lobster Linguine, made from fresh, local lobster caught right off the beach. The relaxed beach restaurant, appropriately named Plage, offers a more simple but delicious menu featuring salads, sandwiches and burgers, and there is also a stylish bar and lounge serving cool cocktails and the largest selection of rum on the island.

The wonderful beach is virtually private and there is also an oceanfront swimming pool with an expansive sundeck. Other facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness centre, tennis courts and complimentary watersports including windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkelling. The sumptuous Spa Le Sereno features both indoor and outdoor treatment areas, including a waterfront pavilion and a couples’ suite, making use of luxurious Sothys products. For younger guests, babysitting can be arranged at an additional charge and the resort provides special kids’ gifts and amenities, as well as a children’s menu in the restaurant.
